Game Design Program

Learn Game Design at NYFA

At NYFA’s Game Design School, prospective designers enroll in our one-year program, which offers the opportunity to explore the key facets of game design, including writing, art, and programming. Upon graduation, students will earn a college credit-bearing Certificate.

By completing the one-year program, aspiring game designers have the flexibility to either continue their education in the visual arts or pursue their creative goals in game design and development or other aspects of interactive media.

Students enrolled in NYFA’s 1-Year Game Design Program develop a creative portfolio with projects that highlight their growing abilities in paper prototypes, 2D games, 3D games, interactive narrative scripts, coding prototypes, 3D animations, publishing plans, and UI.

In this program, students complete a playable game per semester.
