Alex Gabriel is a visual effects (VFX) artist known for his work on major feature films, particularly as an effects animator and digital artist. His credits include high-profile movies such as The Maze Runner (2014), The Meg (2018), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019), Jack the Giant Slayer (2013), Thor (2011), and Invictus (2009), among others.

He has held roles such as effects animator, digital artist, and FX technical director, often specializing in creating complex atmospheric and environmental effects—such as snow, fog, fire, and destruction sequences—using industry-standard tools like Houdini and Maya. Alex Gabriel has also contributed to tool development and team training in VFX studios.

His work is associated with major studios, including Sony Pictures Imageworks and Digital Domain.

Arina Andriushchenko is a real-time VFX artist, currently working at ILM Immersive. She contributed as a VFX artist to the “What If?…” Immersive Story project, an animated mixed-reality video game based on the Marvel Comics series “What If,” which recently won an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Emerging Media Programming.

Arina also worked on the Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Enhanced Edition PlayStation VR2 experience and other projects associated with ILM and ILM Immersive. This is Arina’s second Emmy recognition, following her work on the YouTube Originals kids series “Tab Time.”

Junliang (Scott) Zhang is a 3D Environment Artist from Shanghai, China. He currently works as a Senior Material Artist at 31st Union, a studio under 2K Games. He has a background in scene development and has previously worked as a Scene Development Artist at Blizzard Entertainment on Diablo IV. Zhang is recognized for his expertise in creating detailed environments and materials for video games, and his work has been featured in various industry publications and technical breakdowns, particularly related to cyberpunk and Chinese city environments in Unreal Engine 4. He has captured the spirit of cyberpunk in CyberNeon, the 3D environment he spent over a year creating.

Graduated from NYFA LA in 2017

Guillermo Quesada Páez is a Spanish seasoned visual effects and virtual production engineer known for his leadership roles in major Hollywood productions. He is recognized for his innovative work in virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) development, particularly during his tenure at Magnopus, a visual development company based in Los Angeles.

At Magnopus, Quesada played a key role as a VR/AR Senior Engineer, helping to develop the groundbreaking virtual production system used for Disney’s 2019 remake of The Lion King. The company pioneered a virtual reality system that allowed director Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King) and director of photography Caleb Deschanel (The Passion of the Christ) shoot a film using extensive computer imagery in a physical three dimensional space. This system helped The Lion King earn an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects as well dominate the 2020 Visual Effects Society awards. After his work at Magnopus, Quesada moved on to roles at Prime Video & Amazon Studios, continuing his career in virtual production and engineering.

He was a Virtual Production Engineer on Fallout, The Mandalorian and For All Man Kind.

Muhammad Hamdy is an Emmy Award-winning Egyptian cinematographer, director, and producer from Cairo. He is best known for his work as the cinematographer and co-producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary The Square, which chronicles the Egyptian Revolution in Tahrir Square and won the Audience Award for World Cinema Documentary at Sundance Film Festival. Hamdy filmed the Egyptian Revolution as it unfolded, spending three years on the front lines, even being wounded and having his camera shot during the process.

Beyond “The Square,” Hamdy has worked on several other films, including directing and writing “Perfumed with Mint” (2024), a film exploring themes of trauma and political unrest rooted in his personal experiences in Egypt.

Other credits include: TV mini series Captains airing on Netflix with director David Finch, Olmo and the Seagull, The Edge of Democracy, Trials of Spring, and Years of Living Dangerously.

Lucía Florez is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who earned recognition with her film, “Shirampari: Legacies of the River”. The film premiered at Sundance 2023 and was screened at major festivals including DOC NYC and DOK Leipzig. It was also selected for the PBS series POV! and was part of the competitive POV Shorts program.

Produced with a National Geographic Explorer grant, the film captures a boy’s rite of passage in the Ashéninka community of the Peruvian Amazon. Her earlier work, Paperthin (2019), about a young Russian trans woman seeking asylum in New York, won Best Documentary at the Sioux City International Film Festival.

She has collaborated with leading global organizations such as the UN, WWF, and Conservation International. Her latest project Ever and the Sharks, follows a Peruvian boy and a marine researcher as they tag whale sharks off Peru’s northern coast.

Sasha-Gay Lewis is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. Lewis’s acclaimed documentary The Incursion earned awards at the Caribbean Tales Film Festival, Los Angeles Film and Script Festival, and DOC LA. She was a co-producer on HBO’s Reopening Night, which followed the Public Theater’s return to the stage after the COVID-19 shutdown.

As a screenwriter and producer on Glad You Asked (Season 2), Lewis helped the YouTube Originals series earn an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Educational or Informational Series. Her short Surviving Suicide is used as an awareness tool in high schools, and her architectural short The People’s Vision was featured by the AIA’s I Look Up Film Challenge.

She is the founder of Phoenix, a female-led production company offering creative producing services, and she has served on the board of the Documentary Producers Alliance.

Kendall Marianacci is an Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and researcher. In 2024, Kendall was awarded a News & Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Research on the Netflix film Victim/Suspect, where she led archival development, victim and police data analysis, and visual research.

Kendall is currently a Co-Producer at Motto Pictures, one of the most acclaimed nonfiction production companies in the U.S., with five Academy Award nominations to its name. Previously, she contributed to projects for Amazon Prime, Imagine Entertainment, and worked under Oscar-winning directors Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin.

She is also the founder of Troublemaker Productions, a New York–based company developing original feature and short-form documentary content. Her films often explore themes of injustice, resilience, and our shared humanity—amplifying underrepresented voices from around the globe.

Nick Kochmann is an Emmy nominated documentary filmmaker and associate producer. Notably, Nick served as Associate Producer on Floyd Abrams: Speaking Freely (2023), the PBS/“American Masters” documentary—directed by Yael Melamede—for which he received an Emmy nomination in Outstanding Politics & Government Documentary.

He currently works at SALTY Features as an Associate Producer, contributing to all facets of the company’s documentary productions.
